What TV Mounting Costs in Florida, and What Actually Changes the Price
Prices for mounting a TV in Florida run from about $60 to well past $400, and the spread is not about who is greedy. It is about what is in the job. Here is our list, and then the five things that move it.
Our prices
The range on 60-inch and larger panels is about crew size. Some big screens are light enough for one technician; an 85-inch panel is a two-person lift, and the second person is the difference.
What moves the price
Screen size
A 55-inch TV weighs 35 to 45 pounds and one person manages it. An 85-inch panel is closer to 100 pounds, awkward to carry and easy to flex if you lift it wrong. Flexing a large panel is how screens die during installation, which is why the second technician exists.
The mount
A fixed bracket holds the TV flat and costs the least to install. A tilting mount adds an angle. A full-motion arm swings the screen out from the wall and rotates it, so there's more hardware, more weight, heavier anchors and longer alignment. Pull-down mounts for over a fireplace get their own quote.
The wall
Wood studs are routine. Concrete block, brick, stone or tile means masonry bits, different anchors, dust control and more time. We wrote about wall types here. If you know which one you have when you call, the phone quote gets much more accurate.
Hiding the cables
Leaving cords visible costs nothing. Running them inside the wall with a code-compliant power kit is the $89 line, and routing a whole rack through an attic into another room is a bigger job than the mount itself. The four methods and what they cost are here.
Everything else in the room
Soundbar, console, shelves, a receiver to connect, an old mount to take down and holes to patch. Each one is small by itself. Together they're the reason a "just hang the TV" call turns into two hours.
About the very cheap quotes
An ad that says $69 mounted, any TV, is usually an ad for the first ten minutes of the job. The add-ons appear once someone is standing in your living room: anchors for your wall type, a bracket you did not know you needed, the cables, a second technician for a panel one person cannot lift.
We'd rather you knew the numbers first. If a quote from anyone, ours included, doesn't say what happens when the wall turns out to be block, ask before booking.
Also worth asking: whether the bracket is included or billed separately. Installation price and hardware price are two different things, and shops handle it differently.
Doing it yourself
For a 43-inch TV on a wood-stud wall with a fixed mount and no wire hiding, DIY is reasonable. A stud finder, a level, a drill and an hour.
The math shifts with size and with the wall. A hammer drill, masonry bits, the right anchors and an in-wall power kit add up to more than the install costs, and you use them once. On block or stone with a large panel, you also get one chance at the holes.
The thing that decides it is usually the lift. Two people holding 100 pounds of glass at chest height while a third lines up a bracket is not a job to improvise at 9 pm.
Getting an exact price over the phone
Have four things ready and we can quote without a site visit in most cases:
Screen size. Which wall: an outside wall or an interior partition, and what it's made of if you know. Whether you want the wires hidden. Whether you already have a mount, and which type it is.
That is enough for a firm number on the large majority of jobs. Fireplaces, stone and unusual layouts we quote after a look.
Common questions
Does the price include the mount? Ask when you book. We'll tell you either way, and it depends on which bracket the TV needs.

What if the TV falls? Our installs carry a two-year no-fall guarantee, and we are licensed and insured. That is what the anchors and the anchoring method are for.
